Hello families. I am Brenda Becker and I have been serving the Bloomington Public Schools for the past 29 years and I absolutely love my role as the Assistant Principal. I began my career in 1990 as a PE and Health Teacher until 1997 when I moved into administration as the Dean of Students for four years before moving to a district position as a Curriculum Coordinator. As a Curriculum Coordinator, I worked with secondary teachers writing and designing curriculum and assessments for many different content areas. After five years, I returned to Olson Middle School as the Dean of Students where I have spent the rest of my career until accepting the Assistant Principal position on 2013. I received my undergraduate degrees in Physical Education and Athletic Training, and a Masters degree in Health Education from Minnesota State University Mankato. I also received my Specialists Degree in Administration from Minnesota State University Mankato in 2007. I am proud to be able to help build character in our students through hard work & citizenship as shaping kids and preparing them to be successful adults is my passion!
