PTSA Council presents parent speaker on mental health

Bloomington Public Schools’ PTSA Council will present “Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders in Youth” from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, April 3 in the Oak Grove Middle School auditorium, 1350 W. 106th St.
The event is part of the PTSA Council’s Parent Speaker Series, and features Dustin Chapman, a licensed alcohol and drug counselor with Fairview Health System. Chapman, who has over 40 years of experience working with teens, will address how to recognize and help youth who may be struggling with mental illness or substance abuse disorders.
The event is free and open to the public. Spanish and Somali translation is available. Childcare is available upon request; RSVP by March 28 at 952-681-6400.
