Bloomington Aquettes Syncro Swim Club
The Bloomington Syncro Swim Club is open to all girls in middle and high school.  Don't know how to swim or a great swimmer? No problem! Want to exercise without the sweat? Join us and really work out! Love music and dance? This could be the sport for you.  Want to hang out with a great bunch of friends? Definitely the sport for you! Didn't make the info meeting on Thurs? Email Coach Kari with any questions

Pennies for Patients Drive
Our annual fundraiser drive for Pennies for Patients has begun.  Student Council is selling suckers outside the lunchroom daily at 7:35 am.  Teams have begun collecting loose change and bills and competiting in Penny Wars and two local restaurants, Willy McCoys and Culvers are donating 10% of their profits on Feb 21st from 5-8 PM.  It's a great chance to do good and eat well that night!  Just identify yourself as an OMS family member.

Another great opportunity to do good and enjoy family fun has just been made available.  Purchase a Nickelodean Universe wristband at a discounted price from Mrs Kibort in C204.  Normally $36, get them from us for $28.  No blackout dates or expiration date!

We can make a difference this month in the fight against Leukemia and Lymphoma. Bring what you can and enjoy a good meal to support children dealing with these diseases.

JHS Clay Target Club   **NEW DATE & Room Number**
Jefferson’s High School Clay Target Club is looking for students that have an interest in shooting sports. The Clay Target Club offers teams in Skeet and Trap shooting. The Trap and Skeet teams shoot at the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake on Mondays. We will be having an informational meeting on Thursday, February 23rd at 6:00PM in A104. World Language Club   
Come learn Spanish, German, or 20 other languages of your choosing at World Language Club.  We meet in Mr. Sullivan’s room, E238, Fridays at 2:45 for one hour.  We will use online tools, songs, stories, and conversation.  You can start at the level appropriate to your current abilities.  Languages include French, Portuguese, Swedish, Irish, Russian, Hebrew, Turkish, Polish, Norwegian, and many more.  

Coding Club
Do you love to code?  Are you interested in getting started coding?  Coding Club starts in February!  All ability levels are welcome.  The first day will be Monday, February 6 and it will continue on Mondays for the rest of the year in the Media Center.  Please fill out this form to sign up.  Talk to Mr. Beck or Ms. Tritch if you have any questions!

February Pageturners is starting soon.  Join us!
-6th Grade is reading The Giver by Lois Lowry.  We meet on Tuesdays during lunch in Mr. Swanson's room.
-7th Grade is reading Soul Surfer by Bethany Hamilton.  We meet Mondays during lunch in Mrs. Gillis' room.

-8th Grade is reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.  We meet Thursdays during lunch in the Media Center.  Talk to Mr. Beck if you have any questions!

GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) Group
Meets on Tuesdays in A202 at 2:45 PM.  We welcome all OMS family members.  Questions? See Mr Vogel, Mrs Sheehan or Ms Simonett.

Want to shoot electricity through play dough, program a Lego robot, or play video games on a banana?  You can do it all at makerspace.  Makerspace is open every Thursday right after school.  Everyone is welcome!  No need to sign up; just show up!

Cougar Council
Meets every Monday after school in C204.  All grades are welcome! If you want to participate but can't make a meeting please let Mrs Kibort, in C204, know. If you are involved in sports and can't participate now, feel free to join after the sport's season ends. Everyone's participation is needed and welcome.

Do you know of something happening here at OMS in a club, activity or classroom that should be shared?  Is someone at OMS doing something outstanding, like a fabulous volunteer? or an activity that needs recognition?  We'd love to create a feature based on your idea, just let us know and we'll see what we can do.  Just fill out the Feature Idea Form (http://preview.tinyurl.com/show-feature) electronically or stop by the Media Center, fill out the form and drop it in the green feature suggestion box.
