OMS Garden Club..
begins meeting after school on Weds, May 3rd and Thursday, May 4th.  Help us beautify the Peace Garden.

Diversity Day is Coming
Are you interested in having a booth that tells all of OMS who you are?  Are you a dancer? , a foreign language speaker? from a another country? speak another language? part of an ethnic group in the US? Share your traditions, your favorite part of who you are with all of OMS.  Gather a group with the same background/interests/etc. and staff a booth at our 2017 Diversity Day.  Download a form or pick one up in the Guidance Office and are due May 10th!  Our 4th annual Diversity Day will be May 19th!

Sign up for the Pinky Swear Mess Fest!
We are inviting all our OMS family to participate in this year's Pinky Swear Mess Fest on Saturday, April 29th! We have begun a partnership with Pinky Swear whose goal is supporting families and children with cancer.  Take a look at the video and go to the website to sign up and join the fun!

April Pageturners!

All groups meets during lunch.
-6th grade will not be meeting for April, watch for May's book here
-7th Grade will be reading Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo.  We meet Mondays in Mrs. Gillis' room.
-8th Grade will be reading two books: Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt and Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson.  We meet Thursdays in the Media Center.

Knitting Club Day and Place Change
The Olson Knitting Club will be joining our Makerspace on Thursdays in the Media Center immediately after school!  Tuesday meetings will no longer be held, join us on Thursdays in the Media Center!  Supplies will be provided or bring your own project.
GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) GroupMeets on Tuesdays in A202 at 2:45 PM.  We welcome all OMS family members.  Questions? See Mr Vogel, Mrs Sheehan or Ms Simonett.

Makerspace
Want to shoot electricity through play dough, program a Lego robot, or play video games on a banana?  You can do it all at makerspace.  Makerspace is open every Thursday right after school.  Everyone is welcome!  No need to sign up; just show up!

Olson Needs..
Do you know someone who needs a little help? A warm coat, dry boots, mittens, food, jeans that fit, school supplies, or something else?  If you or someone you know here at Olson could use some basic needs met click on the link below to let us know and we'll see if we can help.

Have an Idea for a News Show Feature?
Do you know of something happening here at OMS in a club, activity or classroom that should be shared?  Is someone at OMS doing something outstanding, like a fabulous volunteer? or an activity that needs recognition?  We'd love to create a feature based on your idea, just let us know and we'll see what we can do.  Just fill out the Feature Idea Form (http://preview.tinyurl.com/show-feature) electronically or stop by the Media Center, fill out the form and drop it in the green feature suggestion box.
