Do You Have an Incoming 6th Grader?

Do you know about Cougar Camp for your new 6th grader?  It's a chance for your new middle school student to get acquainted with a few of their potential teachers, get a tour of the school, find their locker and meet some new friends before the confusion of that first day in September.  This year it's Wednesday and Thursday, July 29-30; and Tuesday and Wednesday, August 4-5, 2015.

Summer Reading?

Looking for some good books for summer reading for your students?  Try these recommended by ALSC (American Library Services for Children)

Summer Math! Don't be Left Behind!

Math is all around us! Learning comes from a continued effort of practice over spaced intervals of time, in many ways. It is important to practice math skills just as it is important to practice sports or a musical instrument or you will lose the skills you have achieved.  Over the summer, students should be sure to work on math skills two to three times a week. Using the link below you will find the areas of skill focus broken down into students' 2015 math level.  Be sure to use your school Google account to sign into Khan Academy to be sure you are getting credit for the completion of the activities.  Your teachers will reward those students that work on their math skills over the summer.
