Bloomington Middle Schools Summer Math Program
Would you like your middle schooler to be ahead of the game in their math class next year?  Don't want them to lose what they've learned this year?  Bloomington Middle School math teachers have a great idea for giving kids an edge in their math class next year.  Click here for more information!

Olson Activity Day is Coming!
Final signups for Activity Day are this week.  All students are expected to participate in an activity. The following activities are still available for signup:  Scrapbooking & Cardmaking; Downtown Minneapolis Fashion Tour; Puppets  Masks & More; Improv Theater Workshop; Stage Combat Class & Midtown Global Market; Greatest Game Day Ever, Third Lair Skate Camp* and both Horseback Riding Activities*.
*requires a waiver form

If your child's activity requires a waiver form it must be completed and turned in with the activity fee on sign up day.  Waiver forms can be found in the Counseling Office.  Remember, checks should be made out to ISD  271.

Olson State and District Testing Information
Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments will be given to all Olson Middle School students right after spring break.  The MCA  tests are reading, mathematics and science tests that will provide information to students and parents on achievement.  The tests also help schools and districts measure their students’ progress .....(click here to read more)

OMS After School Policy
Students are to exit the building immediately after school unless they are in one of the following areas: 
1) in a classroom with a teacher
2) in Galaxy
3) in the afterschool computer lab Mon-Thurs (closes at 4:15)
4) in the Media Center Mon-Thurs (closes at 3:20)

Students waiting for rides must be in these areas until they are picked up.  No one will be allowed to hang out in the hallways or front entrance after 2:30.  Please ask your student to arrange a ride in advance for pick up by 2:30.

School Closing Information
School emergency and closing information can be found on the Bloomington Public Schools website.  Announcements for school cancellations, early dismissals, late starts or other emergency information are also carried by WCCO Channel 4 and WCCO 830 AM.
